Job summary

Encore is seeking an IT operations specialist to manage property-level IT, network, and client-facing services at our hotel locations. You will maintain equipment, position and sell solutions, and support events with excellent service. Reports to the Operations Manager with oversight from Area Internet Services Manager.

You will handle equipment setup, network readiness, and event support, while coordinating with hotel IT teams and service providers to ensure top-tier guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of field experience in internet services support required.
• 2–3 years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Internet services, bandwidth, IP wired and wireless networks, hardware and software basics, webcasting.
• Certifications: CompTIA, Cisco CCENT/CCNA/CCDA/CCNP or other vendor equivalents.
• Technical level 300 Certified; new Encore team members must be certified within 30 days.
• Internal candidates must show completion of 50% of hands-on skill verification.
• Ability to interact professionally with diverse workforce and management.
• Strong customer, client and coworker interface abilities.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Operation: setup, operate, and breakdown AV and internet gear; troubleshoot issues; ensure security and safety.
• Network Management: monitor network readiness, coordinate changes with providers and hotel IT, document network layouts.
• Event Support: plan and execute events with high service, configure equipment, test connectivity, create guides, and report usage.
• Team Support: assist operations, troubleshoot back-office IT issues, mentor technicians.
• Customer Service: exceed expectations, maintain client relationships, ensure on-site equipment functions.
