Job summary

AES Clean Energy, a leading independent power producer with one of the largest renewable energy portfolios in the U.S., seeks a NERC Operations Senior Analyst to support the NERC Operations & Planning compliance program. You will ensure daily operations meet NERC reliability standards through evidence collection, audits, and regulatory research.

Reporting to the NERC Operations Team Leader, you will collaborate with O&M, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, IT/OT Security and other teams to embed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field (required).
• 3-7+ years of experience in Inverter Based Resource operations, maintenance, testing.
• Experience in a generator owner/operator environment or renewable energy projects is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; detail-oriented and capable of cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities across O&M, Engineering, Regulatory.

Responsibilities

• O&P implementation: support compliant O&M processes and field activities for applicable NERC O&P standards.
• Evidence gathering: collect, organize, and provide compliance evidence for audits.
• Regulatory updates: monitor changes to NERC standards and regional requirements.
• Cross-functional coordination: work with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Regulatory, IT/OT security.
• Issue management: investigate reliability risks and drive continuous improvement in compliance.

Education
