Job summary

AES Clean Energy, a leading independent power producer, is seeking a NERC Operations Team Leader to serve as the SME on NERC standards across our fleet of renewables. You will manage regulatory compliance, lead a team of NERC SMEs, and partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and IT/OT to translate requirements into actionable processes.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations and Performance Management, you will drive reliability, audit readiness, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy Management, or related field.
• MS or MBA is a plus but not required.
• 5+ years in electric power industry focusing on operations, maintenance, or compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day NERC compliance execution for all AES Clean Energy sites.
• Act as SME for NERC Compliance Standards (FAC, PRC, EOP, VAR).
• Lead audits, evidence management, and documentation for compliance.
• Mentor and develop the NERC Operations team and drive continuous improvement.
