Job summary

AES Corporation, the largest US-based global power company, seeks a NERC Operations Senior Analyst. You will support the O&P compliance program, collaborate with multiple teams, and help ensure all operations meet North American reliability standards.

The role emphasizes evidence gathering, audit support, regulatory research, and continuous improvement to sustain reliability of the Bulk Electric System.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, or related field is required.
• 3–7+ years in inverter-based resource operations, maintenance, or testing.
• Experience with NERC standards and regulatory compliance processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• O&P implementation: support compliance processes for NERC O&P standards and field activities; maintain relationships with field ops.
• Evidence gathering & audit support: collect, organize, and provide compliance evidence; assist in audit prep and data requests.
• Regulatory updates & analysis: monitor NERC standards; coordinate changes with business units for compliance readiness.
• Cross-functional coordination: work with O&M, Engineering, Regulatory, IT/OT to embed NERC in asset life cycle.
• Procedure training & implementation: ensure procedures are understood and evidence templates are used consistently.
• Issue management & continuous improvement: identify reliability risks and improve compliance tools and processes.
