Job summary

AES Clean Energy seeks a NERC Operations Team Leader to serve as SME on NERC standards, guiding O&M activities for our fleet and ensuring reliability and compliance across the organization.

The role reports to the Senior Director of Operations and Performance Management and requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and IT/OT Security teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy Management, or related field.
• 5+ years in electric power industry with focus on operations, maintenance, or NERC compliance (8+ years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of NERC standards such as PRC‑005, FAC‑008, EOP‑012, etc.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams and communicating complex regulatory info.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day NERC compliance across AES Clean Energy sites.
• Translate NERC requirements into executable processes and audits.
• Lead audits, evidence collection, RSAWs, and documentation.
• Manage internal controls and risk related to NERC standards.
• Guide training and implementation of compliant procedures across teams.
