Job summary

AES Clean Energy seeks a NERC Operations Team Leader to serve as SME for NERC O&P standards across a growing renewable portfolio. You will guide internal teams in interpreting compliance requirements and ensuring reliable operation of assets, with a focus on facilities ratings, protection, and control.

You will manage program execution, mentor a team of NERC SME professionals, and partner with IT/OT, engineering, and operations to sustain regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy Management, or related field.
• 5+ years in electric power industry focusing on operations, maintenance, or NERC compliance.
• Strong knowledge of NERC standards and power plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day NERC compliance execution for AES Clean Energy sites.
• Translate NERC requirements into executable processes, controls, and maintenance programs.
• Lead audits, self-certifications, and provide compliant evidence.
