Job summary

Serco Inc. in Middletown, RI leads the PORTS program, delivering simulation-based training systems for US Navy. This Project Management role reports to the Program Manager and coordinates with customers and the project team to ensure on-time, within-budget execution.

Candidates must be US citizens with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance, hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and have 5+ years of management experience including P&L. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Be a US citizen with the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day project operations and liaise among Program Manager, customer, and team.
• Review project status, budgets, schedules, and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items per DoD requirements.
• Ensure adherence to quality objectives, metrics and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on status.
• Identify issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity and quality goals.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
