Job summary

Serco Inc. in Middletown, Rhode Island, is hiring a Project Manager to lead PORTS program efforts supporting US Navy training systems. You will coordinate between the Program Manager, customer, and project team to drive schedules, budgets, and quality.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, a relevant degree, and at least 5 years of management experience including P&L. Domestic travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and act as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review project status, budgets, work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items per DoD requirements and adhere to quality objectives and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
