Job summary

Serco is seeking a Helpdesk Support Specialist to support the U.S. Navy and CNIC N6 program, based out of Naples, Italy. The role involves hands-on IT and telecom support across SIPRNet/NIPRNet, VTC, cabling, and security policy implementation.

Candidates must hold an active DoD Secret clearance, be a U.S. citizen, and meet the education/experience requirements. Travel up to 10% and a valid U.S. passport are required. This is a full-time position with Serco’s benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret security clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• High School Diploma or GED minimum.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience (or degree-equivalent).
• DoD 8570 Level II compliant certifications (e.g., Security+, CAP, CASP, CISSP, CISM, CISA).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Able to travel up to 10%.
• Valid U.S. Passport.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve network and domain user trouble calls.
• Activate or reactivation of telecom services.
• Create, recreate, and troubleshoot user domain accounts including SIPRNet/NIPRNet.
• Support SIPRNet/NIPRNet, and telephone drops upgrades.
• Assist data encryptors installation and upgrades.
• Install and support VTC endpoints and provide user support.
• Install/upgrade telecom cabling and pathways.
• Install and upgrade VoSIP telephones.
• Support computing platforms and peripherals maintenance.
• Assist in policy testing and security implementation.
• Conduct site surveys and determine user requirements.
• Develop cost estimates for user requirements for procurement.
• Train users on systems as required.
