Job summary

Serco is seeking a Program Manager to oversee engineering and technical services for overhaul and repair of U.S. Navy carriers and surface ships. The role requires DoD Secret clearance after employment and citizenship in the United States.

The successful candidate will lead business development, manage contract teams, and coordinate with shipyards and stakeholders to ensure mission success across NAVSEA programs. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• MS in Engineering (ABET-accredited) with 8–10 years of experience, or Bachelor’s with 15 years.
• Extensive Navy/DOD acquisition experience across Naval Ship construction, modernization, and C4I.
• Current DoD security clearance or ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Up to 25% travel for CONUS/OCONUS may be required.
• Experience as US Navy Engineering Duty Officer with shipyards and ship systems is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support business development and proposals for Navy Carrier and Surface Ship Engineering/ Maintenance.
• Identify NASO new business areas in the US and international markets.
• Manage personnel to support short-term and long-term contract efforts.
• Cultivate positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
