Job summary

Layton Construction Company is seeking a Superintendent to manage daily on-site operations across multiple projects with full-time travel. You will coordinate scheduling, procurement, and manpower to ensure timely, cost-effective completion while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in construction management or equivalent, 5+ years of ground-up commercial project experience, and strong communication skills. CMiC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Plan construction procedures based on start/finish times and staffing.
• Develop and use look-ahead schedules with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate pre-construction meetings with the Project Manager.
• Direct procurement of tools and materials to meet schedules.
• Keep all parties informed of issues and progress on site.
• Resolve workforce conflicts with supervisors and labor representatives.
• Inspect work for compliance with specs and schedules.
• Manage project using progress reports, materials, and costs.
• Move personnel between projects to optimize labor costs.
• Assist in preparing the Project Management Plan.
• Ensure safety, policies, and quality standards are enforced.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
