Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a field-based technician to upgrade software on automated medication dispensing devices in hospital settings. You will travel to facilities, install, configure, and update medical devices, and ensure proper operation post-setup.

You will educate staff, perform routine checks, troubleshoot issues, and comply with hospital credentialing and vaccine requirements. Some shifts may include nights/weekends and travel across regions.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel extensively for field-based service assignments.
• Associate degree in biomedical, IT, electronics, or related field preferred.
• 1+ year of technical experience required; 3+ years in field technician role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, and updates for medical devices, software, and networking systems.
• Conduct routine checks to verify proper functionality after setup.
• Troubleshoot device and network issues, escalating complex cases as needed.
• Follow calibration protocols for servicing equipment
• Educate healthcare staff on device utilization and software functionality.
• Maintain compliance with hospital vendor credentialing requirements.
