Job summary

IQVIA MedTech CFS is seeking a field service technician to travel to hospitals and perform software upgrades for automated medication dispensing devices. You will install, configure, and update medical devices, run routine checks, and troubleshoot network and device issues.

The role requires extensive travel, some nights/weekends, and adherence to hospital credentialing and vaccine requirements, with a strong emphasis on educating staff on software usage.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in biomedical, IT, electronics, or a related field preferred.
• 1+ year of technical experience required; 3+ years in a field technician role preferred.
• Experience in IT support, electronics, biomedical engineering, or pharmacy technology is a plus.
• Must maintain personal parts inventory, sourcing from approved vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, and updates for medical devices, software, and networking systems.
• Conduct routine checks to verify proper functionality after setup.
• Troubleshoot device and network issues, resolving technical problems independently or escalating complex cases.
• Follow calibration protocols for servicing equipment.
• Educate healthcare staff on device utilization and software functionality.
• Maintain compliance with hospital vendor credentialing requirements.
