Job summary

IQVIA MedTech CFS is seeking a field-based technician to travel to hospitals and upgrade software on automated dispensing devices. You will install, configure, and update medical devices and networking systems, then verify functions with routine checks. You will educate staff on new software and maintain documentation for credentialing and vaccine requirements.

The assignment-based role offers 28–32 hours weekly with regional travel, some nights and weekends, and adherence to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel extensively for field-based service assignments.
• Associate degree preferred in biomedical, IT, electronics, or related field.
• 1+ year of technical experience required; 3+ years in a field technician role preferred.
• Experience in IT support, electronics, biomedical engineering, or pharmacy technology is a plus.
• Must maintain personal parts inventory, sourcing from approved vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, and updates for medical devices, software, and networking systems.
• Conduct routine checks to verify proper functionality after setup.
• Troubleshoot device and network issues, resolving technical problems independently or escalating complex cases.
• Follow calibration protocols for servicing equipment
• Educate healthcare staff on device utilization and software functionality.
• Maintain compliance with hospital vendor credentialing requirements.
