Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Superintendent to manage daily on-site operations, scheduling, and procurement across ground-up commercial projects. The role requires travel to project locations and collaboration with Project Managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure timely, quality completion.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in construction management or related field and 5+ years of ground-up experience, with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of ground-up commercial project experience.
• Ability to travel to project sites with valid driver's license.
• Understanding of building codes and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily on-site operations, scheduling, production, and procurement.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Direct subcontractors and craft personnel; review scope and phasing.
• Ensure safety, quality, and housekeeping comply with standards.
• Monitor costs, materials, and labor; adjust schedules as needed.
• Lead pre-construction and mobilization planning with stakeholders.
• Communicate progress to clients and internal teams.
