Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Project Manager to lead planning, procurement, scheduling, and execution for commercial construction projects. This role may handle multiple projects, aiming to maximize profitability and meet quality and safety goals.

The PM will work closely with the Superintendent and estimators, manage budgets and payments, and ensure compliance and timely delivery across projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in ground-up commercial projects, especially light industrial/cold storage.
• Ability to verify bids, process change orders, and understand market rates.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, procurement, scheduling and execution for construction projects.
• Prepare project management plan (PMP) and lead pre-award/pre-construction meetings.
• Negotiate changes with owners/subcontractors and manage cost/profit impacts.
• Manage project cost data, payments, liens, and monthly reviews.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout the project.
