Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Transportation Consultant to oversee day-to-day transportation operations for a portfolio of facilities across the distribution network. You will partner with planners, DC leadership, and 3PL carriers to maintain delivery performance, ensure process compliance, and manage ASO workflows using TMS and BI tools.

The role requires strong data analytics to track regional KPIs, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and coordinate real-time solutions for disruptions such as weather

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management, focusing on fleet operations or carrier services.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in logistics or related field; PMP and Lean Six Sigma are a plus.
• Experience managing 3PL/carrier performance for regional or multi-facility networks.
• Proficient in data visualization and reporting with Tableau/Power BI and TMS.
• Travel 10-15% expected.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary operational POC for 1–5 facilities.
• Collaborate with carriers, 3PLs, and planners on service delivery.
• Align with transportation planners to enforce SOPs.
• Oversee SOP maintenance and ASO process.
• Coordinate contingency plans for disruptions.
• Use TMS and BI tools to monitor KPIs and troubleshoot.
• Drive standardization and continuous improvement.
• Communicate proactively with stakeholders.
