Job summary

Sazerac is expanding its U.S. Market Development team with Chains Market Development Representatives (MDRs) to grow our presence in major chain retail accounts. This role focuses on merchandising, display management, and upsell opportunities to drive sales growth.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in sales or consumer goods, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work early morning shifts to align with retailer schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience, or a sales internship/full-time role (preferably in consumer goods).
• A valid driver's license.
• Experience with major national retailers preferred; ability to work early morning hours (e.g., 6 AM - 2 PM).
• Valid driver's license and willingness to drive between multiple accounts daily.

Responsibilities

• Execute merchandising and display programs in high-volume national off-premise accounts.
• Ensure planogram compliance, maintain shelf standards, and troubleshoot inventory.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with retailer contacts to ensure brand visibility.
• Work with distributor reps to drive execution of national programs and promotions.
• Conduct regular store visits to ensure promotional and merchandising execution aligns with goals.
• Identify opportunities to upsell and increase product penetration in each location.
• Address inventory issues, stockouts, and retailer concerns promptly.
• Provide insights on competitive activity, product performance, and customer trends to sales/marketing.
• Ensure execution of special displays and seasonal promotions.
• Manage a daily route based on key account assignments and geography.
• Meet or exceed volume and distribution goals for assigned brands.
