Job summary

Sazerac Company is expanding its U.S. Market Development team with Chains Market Development Representatives (MDRs) focused on major chain retail accounts. The role emphasizes high-volume merchandising, program execution, and incremental selling to grow brand presence.

The MDR will implement merchandising programs, manage displays, ensure product availability, and identify upsell opportunities. A self-motivated, results-driven candidate thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience, or sales internship in consumer goods.
• Ability to drive between multiple accounts daily.
• Willingness to work early morning hours (e.g., 6 AM - 2 PM shifts) to align with retailer schedules.
• Experience with major national retailers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute merchandising and display programs in high-volume, national off-premise accounts.
• Ensure planogram compliance, shelf standards, and troubleshoot inventory challenges.
• Build relationships with retailer contacts to secure visibility and incremental display space.
• Collaborate with distributor reps to drive national programs and promotions.
• Visit stores regularly to ensure promotions and merchandising align with company goals.
• Identify upsell opportunities to increase product penetration in each location.
• Address inventory issues, stockouts, and retailer concerns promptly.
• Provide insights on competitive activity and product performance to sales/marketing teams.
• Manage unique daily routes based on key accounts and geography.
• Meet or exceed volume and distribution goals for assigned brands.
