Job summary

Sazerac is growing its U.S. Market Development team with Chains Market Development Representatives (MDRs). This role focuses on high-volume merchandising, program execution, and incremental selling in major national off-premise accounts like Walmart and Kroger.

The MDR will maximize brand presence through merchandising programs, displays, and availability, while identifying upsell opportunities to drive sales growth in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications: Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience, or sales internship/entry role in consumer goods.
• A valid driver's license.
• Willingness to drive between multiple accounts daily.
• Experience with major national retailers is preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills for daily routes.

Responsibilities

• Execute merchandising and display programs in high-volume, national off-premise accounts.
• Ensure planogram compliance and shelf standards; address inventory issues.
• Develop and maintain relationships with retailer contacts to maintain visibility.
• Collaborate with distributor reps to drive national programs and promotions.
• Conduct regular store visits to ensure promotions and merchandising alignment.
• Identify upsell opportunities to increase product penetration per location.
• Address stockouts and retailer concerns promptly.
• Provide insights on competitive activity and product performance to teams.
• Manage unique daily routes based on key accounts and geography.
• Meet or exceed volume and distribution goals for assigned brands.
