Job summary

Cogent Communications is hiring for an in-office Regional Sales role in the United States, focused on the Mid Market and National Account segments. You will identify and pursue new business opportunities, build direct relationships with decision makers, and support field activities to position Cogent’s high-speed Internet, private network, and data center solutions.

Qualifications

• Requires proven sales success and ability to identify, qualify, and generate new business.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with revenue deadlines.
• CRM and MS Office experience a plus.
• College degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within the Regional Sales Territory through hunting and prospecting.
• Qualify and generate opportunities by direct calling, email, and other means.
• Support field activities with meetings, builds, and relationship development.
• Position Cogent services to meet connectivity needs and future requirements.
• Aim to achieve monthly revenue goals in major commercial/retail buildings.
