Cogent Communications is seeking a results-oriented sales professional for an in-office role in the United States. You will identify and develop new business opportunities, engage decision-makers, and drive revenue through direct outreach and field activities.

The role emphasizes consultative selling and building relationships, with targets in large commercial and retail spaces. You will join a structured compensation plan with base salary and commission opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of previous sales experience with a track record of success.
• Ability to identify, qualify and generate new business through prospecting and research.
• Strong oral and written communication is required.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, revenue-driven team environment.
• Working knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office and a CRM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within a prescribed Regional Sales Territory.
• Qualify and generate new opportunities via direct calling, email, and other contact efforts.
• Support prospecting with field activities like walks, events, and face-to-face meetings.
• Position Cogent services to meet connectivity needs and future solutions.
• Help Cogent customers by positioning services for new business.
• Achieve monthly revenue goals by selling to large commercial and retail buildings.
