Job summary

Cogent Communications, a multinational Tier 1 ISP, seeks a regional sales professional for the national market with a focus on mid-market and large accounts. You will identify, qualify, and generate new business opportunities through direct outreach and field activities, building relationships with key decision makers to position Cogent services.

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience with a track record of success is required.
• Ability to identify, qualify and generate new business through prospecting and research.
• Strong oral and written communication is required.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment with revenue deadlines.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and a CRM is a plus.
• A college degree is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within a prescribed Regional Sales Territory via sourcing and hunting.
• Qualify and generate new opportunities by direct calling, email and other contact efforts with Key Decision Makers.
• Complement prospecting with field work such as building walks and events.
• Leverage consultative selling to identify connectivity solutions.
• Help customers by positioning services for new business.
• Achieve monthly revenue goals for large commercial and retail buildings.
