Job summary

Abode Communities in Los Angeles is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a property management team. You will perform minor repairs, preventive maintenance, and unit preparations to keep our communities safe and well‑maintained.

Requirements include at least three years of general maintenance experience, English literacy, basic computer skills, and a valid California driver’s license with insured vehicle. The role also involves after hours emergency response.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years general maintenance experience.
• English reading, writing and speaking required.
• Basic computer skills and valid California driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor maintenance and repairs as assigned by the Community Manager.
• Prioritize, schedule and complete resident service requests for unit repairs and general maintenance.
• Coordinate and monitor progress of vendors or outside contractors.
• Inspect property daily and report needed repairs to the Community Manager.
• Respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies.
• Assist in janitorial duties as needed.
