Job summary

Abode Communities in San Pedro, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help keep our multifamily properties in top condition. You will perform repairs, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with vendors to ensure resident requests are completed promptly.

The role requires at least three years of general maintenance experience, ability to read and follow safety procedures, and a valid California driver's license with an insured vehicle.

Qualifications

• Three years of general maintenance experience.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Valid California driver's license and insured vehicle.
• Able to communicate across cultures.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor property maintenance and repairs as assigned.
• Prioritize, schedule and complete resident service requests.
• Prepare properties for inspections by regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate and monitor vendors or outside contractors.
• Respond to after-hours and weekend maintenance emergencies.
• Assist with janitorial duties as needed.
• Inspect equipment and maintain preventative maintenance logs.
