Job summary

Abode Communities in Los Angeles is seeking a Maintenance Technician who reports to the Community Manager and works with a team to keep the property in excellent condition and respond to resident service requests promptly.

The role requires at least three years of maintenance experience, English proficiency, and the ability to work with diverse residents. The position offers a full benefits package and an hourly wage of $24–$26, plus paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years general maintenance experience.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Able to communicate effectively with people from diverse cultures.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor maintenance and repairs as assigned.
• Prioritize and schedule resident service requests.
• Prepare properties for inspections by regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate and monitor vendors or outside contractors.
• Inspect building equipment daily and report needed repairs.
• Maintain preventative maintenance logs and inventory.
• Respond to after-hours and weekend emergencies.
• Assist with janitorial duties as needed.
