Job summary

Abode Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Los Angeles to join a field team under the Community Manager. The role performs repairs, safety checks, and preventive maintenance to keep multiple properties in good condition and compliant with standards.

You will handle resident service requests, coordinate with vendors, and participate in after-hours emergency coverage. The job requiresBasic maintenance skills, a valid CA driver’s license, and teamwork within a diverse community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years general maintenance experience.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Valid California Driver License and availability of an insured vehicle.
• Work in a collaborative manner as a member of a site team.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor property maintenance and repairs as assigned by the Community Manager.
• Prioritize, schedule and complete resident service requests for unit repairs and general maintenance.
• Coordinate and monitor progress of vendors or outside contractors.
• Inspect property daily and report needed repairs to the Community Manager.
• Respond to after-hours and weekend maintenance emergencies.
• Assist with janitorial duties and special projects as designated.
• Prepare properties for inspections by regulatory agencies.
