Job summary

Abode Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Hart Village team in Canoga Park, CA. You will report to the Community Manager and work with a team to keep the property in top physical condition and respond to resident service requests promptly.

Responsibilities include minor repairs, coordinating with vendors, inspecting equipment, and preparing properties for regulatory inspections. Requires 3 years of maintenance experience, English proficiency, and a California driver's

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years general maintenance experience.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Valid California driver's license required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work with vendors and residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor property maintenance and repairs as assigned by the Community Manager.
• Prioritize, schedule and complete resident service requests for unit repairs and janitorial duties.
• Prepare properties for inspections by regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate and monitor progress of vendors or outside contractors.
• Inspect building equipment and provide preventative maintenance logs.
• Respond to after-hours and weekend maintenance emergencies.
