Job summary

Rainey Property Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our affordable housing communities. You will ensure property functionality, safety, and resident comfort, handling daily service requests and preventative maintenance with a service-focused mindset.

Ideal candidates are hands-on, solutions-driven technicians with multi-trade capabilities, capable of coordinating with residents and staff while maintaining safety standards and company values.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on property maintenance experience (affordable housing experience a plus).
• Training or certification in building systems, HVAC, or trades preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills across multiple trade areas.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
• Respond promptly to resident work orders with professionalism.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and select repair methods.
• Replace and install fixtures such as faucets, outlets, lightbulbs, locks, and cabinets.
• Manage work orders in the property management system with timely follow-up.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance to extend equipment life.
