Job summary

Camden Property Trust is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team across multifamily communities. The role includes supervising repairs, make-readies, and preventative maintenance to create a positive resident experience.

The candidate will oversee service requests, coordinate with vendors, and ensure safety and quality while contributing to budget discussions and monthly maintenance planning. On-call and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; some college or trade school
• Minimum 3 years general maintenance, 1 year apartment maintenance
• Previous supervisory experience required
• EPA certification Type I and II, or Universal and CPO certification required
• Tile work, carpentry, and all facets of apartment make-ready
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and major appliances

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance team and schedule activities (make-readies, service requests)
• Monitor and prioritize service requests; address emergencies
• Communicate assignments and balance daily workload
• Coordinate preventive maintenance on appliances and equipment
• Manage make-ready process and coordinate with vendors
• Record service and maintenance data in OneSite
• Identify safety issues and report to Community Manager
• Assist in recruiting and mentoring maintenance staff
• Maintain inventory of supplies and contribute to budget planning
• Support grounds keeping, pool maintenance, and inspections
