Job summary

Camden Property Trust is seeking a Maintenance Technician who handles maintenance service requests for the community. You will work with the maintenance team to ensure timely responses and high-quality work, including make-readies, groundskeeping, pool maintenance and preventative maintenance.

You will interact with residents, guests and vendors to deliver exceptional experiences and coordinate with the maintenance supervisor on daily priorities.

Qualifications

• Six months of maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment industry.
• Trade school certification or equivalent preferred; EPA certification strongly preferred.
• HVAC/plumbing/electrical systems troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of make-readies, carpentry and general maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete service requests in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with the maintenance supervisor to prioritize tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, guests and vendors.
• Identify safety issues and report or correct them with supervision.
• Perform preventative maintenance on community equipment and systems.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in, including repairs or replacements.
• Maintain community appearance and assist with groundskeeping and pool tasks.
• Accurately document service requests and maintenance in OnSite.
• Perform electrical and plumbing work as required.
• Support with inspections, notices, and other tasks as needed.
