Job summary

Camden is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor for on-site role in our multifamily communities. You will assist the Maintenance Supervisor with daily maintenance oversight, repairs, and the make-ready process to prepare units for new residents.

The ideal candidate has maintenance experience, EPA certifications, and a focus on safety and resident satisfaction. You will work with a collaborative team, ensure timely service, and coordinate with vendors to uphold Camden’s standards.

Qualifications

• HS diploma and some college or trade school preferred.
• 1 year general maintenance experience, at least 6 months apartment maintenance experience.
• EPA certification Type I, Type II, or Universal; CAMT preferred.
• Tile work and carpentry skills; make-readies.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, pool/spa equipment.
• Permits/certifications required by city or state.
• Dependable transportation and rotating on-call schedule; valid driver’s license for Low Speed Vehicle communities.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist Maintenance Supervisor in supervising and scheduling maintenance activities, including make readies and service requests.
• Monitor service requests and prioritize tasks; escalate emergencies.
• Perform preventative maintenance on community appliances and equipment.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in and complete repairs or replacements.
• Oversee make-ready process; communicate with vendors and report completion.
• Maintain records in OneSite for service requests, PMs, and make-readies.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, guests, and vendors.
• Identify safety hazards and address or report them to the supervisor.
• Assist with training maintenance staff and inventory management.
• Support groundskeeping, pool maintenance, and other tasks as needed.
