Job summary

Camden Property Trust is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle maintenance service requests for our community. You will be a customer-focused team player responsible for make-readies, groundskeeping, pool maintenance, and preventative tasks to ensure a high standard of living for residents.

You will collaborate with the maintenance supervisor, prioritize daily tasks, and maintain safety standards while performing electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work as needed.

Qualifications

• Customer service mindset and ability to interact with residents and vendors
• Strong understanding of maintenance tasks across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry
• Ability to read diagrams, meters, and instructions to complete work orders

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete service requests in a timely manner
• Coordinate with maintenance supervisor to prioritize tasks
• Provide exceptional customer service when engaging with residents and vendors
• Identify safety hazards and report or fix as needed
• Perform preventative maintenance on community equipment
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in and complete necessary repairs
• Maintain community appearance and perform make-readies
• Document service requests and maintenance activities in Onesite
• Perform electrical and plumbing work as required
• Assist with groundskeeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping, and notices as needed
