Job summary

Camden Development, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor for our multifamily communities in Nashville. You will assist the Maintenance Supervisor with overseeing the day-to-day maintenance, make-readies, and preventative tasks to keep the property safe and appealing.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, timely repairs, and teamwork with residents, vendors, and the Community Manager. Experience in apartment maintenance, EPA type certifications, and the ability to work

Qualifications

High school diploma; some college or trade school preferred.
1 year general maintenance experience; at least 6 months apartment maintenance.
EPA certification Type I, II, or Universal; CPO preferred.
Tile work, carpentry, and all facets of the apartment make-ready process.
Troubleshoot/repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and pool/spa equipment.
Certified Apartment Service Technician (CAMT) preferred.
City/state certifications/permits required; valid driver’s license.
Must be able to work rotating on-call; weekends/holidays as required.

Responsibilities

Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in supervising and scheduling maintenance activities, including make readies and service requests.
Monitor and prioritize service requests and tasks; identify emergencies and manage workload.
Perform preventative maintenance on community appliances and equipment.
Prepare vacant apartments for move-in and complete necessary repairs or replacements.
Assist with make-ready process by inspecting vacants, coordinating with vendors, and reporting completion to the Community Manager.
Monitor repeating repairs and determine root causes/courses of action.
Respond to service requests and repair appliances, plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems as needed.
Maintain community appearance and tidy work areas; replace lightbulbs; remove trash.
Accurately complete records in OneSite for service requests, PMs, and make-readies.
Provide excellent customer service to residents, guests, and vendors.
Identify safety hazards and address or report them to Maintenance Supervisor.
Assist in training maintenance staff and maintaining inventory of supplies.
Assist with grounds, pool maintenance, housekeeping, notices, and inspections.
