Job summary

Camden Development, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance team across multifamily communities in Dallas.

You will oversee repairs, the make‑ready process, and preventative maintenance, ensuring responsiveness to resident needs and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate has supervisory experience, strong hands‑on maintenance skills, and the ability to manage a diverse set of building systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of general maintenance experience, at least 1 year of apartment maintenance experience.
• Previous supervisory experience is required.
• EPA certification Type I and II, or Universal and CPO certification required.
• Must be able to perform tile work, carpentry repairs, and all facets of the apartment make‑ready process.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, electronic systems, all major appliances, pool and spa equipment and other systems on community.
• Certified Apartment Service Technician (CAMT) preferred.
• Must have certifications/permits required by city or state to perform job responsibilities.
• Must have dependable transportation to/from work and be able to accommodate a rotating on‑call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the maintenance team and efficiently schedule maintenance activities.
• Monitor and prioritize service requests and tasks; escalate emergencies.
• Communicate assignments to the maintenance team and monitor workload.
• Coordinate, schedule, and perform preventative maintenance on appliances and equipment.
• Manage the make ready process and communicate with vendors to complete repairs.
• Identify recurring repairs and determine root causes with the team.
• Repair and replace appliances, plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems as needed.
• Complete records in OneSite for service requests and maintenance.
• Identify safety hazards and report to Community Manager.
• Assist in recruiting and mentoring maintenance staff.
• Conduct periodic property safety audits.
• Maintain inventory of supplies for repairs.
• Monitor monthly maintenance budget and advise on annual budgets.
