Job summary

Capstone Restaurant Group is seeking a District Manager to oversee the performance of restaurant management teams within the district and ensure each team meets job responsibilities and expectations in all areas of their roles.

The District Manager will train and motivate staff, coach leadership, evaluate QSC standards, and drive improvements while ensuring compliance with company policies and food safety requirements. Travel to assigned stores is required.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years previous restaurant experience required.
• 3-5 years in management positions (preferably multi-unit restaurant experience including full-service, fast food or convenience).
• Financial planning aptitude including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and P & L management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all district team members are trained, motivated, and empowered to deliver total Guest satisfaction.
• Evaluates each restaurant’s QSC standards and provides regular feedback and coaching; conducts inspections.
• Communicates customer comments and concerns to the Restaurant Manager and follows up to ensure timely handling.
• Ensures all General Managers and GMITs receive orientation, training, and development opportunities.
• Trains, coaches, and provides regular performance feedback to motivate and improve team performance.
• Evaluates overall GM/GMIT performance based on established standards and expectations.
• Provides counseling and/or discipline when needed.
• Provides training and follow-up on new products, programs, and changes.
• Actively recruits new GMs and GMITs and matches leadership to store needs for optimal results.
• Analyzes business performance; initiates corrective actions when deviations occur from financial expectations.
• Supports company-wide marketing programs and evaluates local marketing strategies.
• Ensures business and personnel practices comply with law and company policies.
• Serves as a role model and maintains a positive example for the team.
• Negotiates vendor contracts for districts; follows company approval processes.
• Upholds food safety, handling, and sanitation requirements.
