Applegreen seeks a Plaza Director to oversee a multi-million-dollar travel plaza along a major highway, driving day-to-day operations and long-term profitability while delivering fast, friendly service to travelers.

This role leads a dedicated team, ensures brand standards and food safety, hires and develops staff, and collaborates with brand partners and support functions to sustain growth and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and payroll/time-keeping software.
• Experience with inventory management and POS systems is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for leading teams.
• Proven ability to control costs while driving profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of associates and plaza leadership to meet sales, speed of service, customer satisfaction, brand standards, and food quality & safety targets.
• Monitor and analyze progress towards financial and performance objectives; implement strategic changes to maximize performance and profitability.
• Ensure each food/beverage concept adheres to brand standards.
• Foster a culture of learning, information sharing, and accountability across the team.
• Recruit, develop, and retain strong teams; manage staffing levels across the plaza.
• Oversee hiring, coaching, training, promotion, and disciplinary actions for plaza leadership.
• Supervise the plaza leadership team to ensure goals are met and reports are properly managed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and with local, state, and federal laws.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Collaborate with Brand Partners, HR, Loss Prevention, Finance, and Facilities & Maintenance.
