Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers seeks a Plaza Director to oversee day-to-day operations and long-term profitability of a high-volume travel plaza along a major highway. You will lead a dedicated team to deliver fast, friendly service while upholding brand standards and food quality.

The role demands 5+ years of multi-unit leadership, strong cost control, and the ability to drive growth in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven success in multi-unit or big-box leadership.
• Flexible on-site schedule approximately 50 hours per week including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; able to lift at least 20 pounds.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day activities of associates and plaza leadership to meet sales, speed of service, customer satisfaction, brand standards, and food quality & safety goals.
• Monitor and analyze progress toward financial and performance targets; implement strategic changes to maximize profitability.
• Ensure each food/beverage concept adheres to brand standards and quality.
• Maintain an engaging work culture focused on learning, information sharing and accountability.
• Recruit, develop, and retain strong teams; manage leadership performance and staffing levels.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and applicable laws.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and timely.
