Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs across commercial properties and facilities in the Arlington area. The role covers building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks performed to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years' related experience, a valid driver's license, and skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Qualifications

Two or more years of related experience in a commercial property setting.
Technical, vocational or on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license (commercial license may be required) and good driving record with periodic checks
Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word
May be required to work extended periods of time without relief, standby/on-call duties

Responsibilities

Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems including packaging and handling machinery, plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop and grounds equipment, and HVAC.
Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices.
Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and paint walls, piping, floors and equipment.
Troubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend upgrades or cost-saving opportunities in maintenance operations.
Respond to emergencies and customer service requests as assigned.
Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions; perform preventative maintenance.
Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems as assigned.
Perform carpentry and snow removal when necessary.
Comply with codes, regulations, and company directives; practice safe work habits.
Use technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, and building automation systems.
Complete required safety training and adhere to uniform dress code on property
