Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist with operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial buildings and equipment. Responsibilities include servicing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to emergencies as needed.

The role requires 2+ years of property maintenance experience and a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Technical, vocational or on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Basic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems including packaging and handling machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, grounds equipment, and HVAC.
• Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and paint walls, piping, floors and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate to upgrade maintenance operations and implement savings opportunities.
• Respond to emergencies and customer service requests as assigned.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain and operate fire/life-safety systems as assigned.
• Perform carpentry and snow removal when necessary.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and safety practices; use technology in daily tasks.
