Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Arlington, VA, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist with operation, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial buildings and systems. You will handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to emergencies as needed.

This role requires at least 2 years’ related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting.
• Technical, vocational or on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, painting, carpentry or engine repair.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs of buildings and installed systems.
• Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Perform carpentry and minor finishing tasks such as painting, drywall, and hardware replacement.
• Respond to emergencies and customer service requests as assigned.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe conditions and preventive maintenance.
• Operate fire and life safety systems and comply with safety regulations.
