Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics and repairs on commercial buildings and industrial systems. The role covers a wide range of equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, roofs, and building finishes, with an emphasis on safety and responsiveness.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years of related experience in a commercial-property setting, a valid driver's license, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting.
• Technical, vocational or on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Basic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel & Word

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems including packaging and handling machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop and grounds equipment and HVAC.
• Clean, lubricate and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic devices.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, paint walls, piping, floors and equipment.
• Troubleshoot, evaluate and recommend upgrades to maintenance operations and savings opportunities.
• Respond to emergencies and customer service requests as assigned.
• Inspect buildings, grounds and equipment for safety and malfunctioning conditions; perform preventative maintenance.
• Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems as assigned.
• Perform carpentry and snow removal as needed.
• Comply with codes, regulations and company directives; practice safe work habits; use technology and building automation systems.
• Complete required Cushman & Wakefield safety training; adhere to uniform dress code; be prepared for shift variations and on-call duties if required.
