Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of the housing community under the Community Manager’s supervision. You will drive rent collection, cash flow optimization, and staff supervision to maintain compliance with policies, safety, and fair housing guidelines.

The role requires strong leadership, reliable financial management, and hands-on supervision of leasing, maintenance, and administrative tasks on site, with a focus on

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee posting of payments and income for residents and applicants, accurately and timely.
• Manage all account receivables, including daily reconciliation and collections.
• Monitor bad debt, issue late notices, contact residents and guarantors, and file evictions as needed.
• Assist in meeting budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Post charges to accounts and handle utilities bill-backs where applicable.
