Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations of a housing community under the Community Manager. You will drive rent collection, supervise staff, and ensure adherence to policies and fair housing guidelines to optimize cash flow.

You’ll manage leasing activities, coordinate maintenance, and support budgeting and risk management while maintaining excellent customer service for residents and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years housing industry experience.
• Ability to understand and perform onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income accurately and timely for all residents and applicants.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable and monitor cash flow.
• Follow up on bad debt, issue late notices, and file evictions as needed.
• Support budgeting, revenue targets, expenses, and NOI growth.
• Post charges to resident accounts and bill back utilities where applicable.
• Complete end-of-month closings and reporting with accuracy.
• Maintain organized records and audit resident files for accuracy.
• Walk units, post move-out charges, statements, and deposits.
