Responsibilities

• Promote and act in accordance with the Spell Restaurant Group mission.
• Ensure all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and training are followed on time.
• Achieve sales, service, quality, and sanitation goals through staff training and a positive work environment.
• Monitor food prep, portion sizes, garnishing, and presentation to ensure quality.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations at all levels.
• Control cash and other receipts per company procedures.
• Investigate and resolve complaints about food quality, service, or accommodations.
• Review financial statements and reports to measure productivity and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Schedule food and beverage deliveries and verify contents and quality.
• Monitor budgets and payroll, ensuring expenditures are authorized and budgeted.
• Set standards for personnel performance and customer service.
• Be knowledgeable about personnel policies and administer corrective actions when needed.
• Develop staff across managerial and professional areas continually.
• Review work procedures to identify opportunities to improve service, performance, or safety.
• Source, hire, and train team members; coach and develop them.
• Review menus and analyze recipes to determine labor and overhead and set prices.
