Job summary

Georgia's Own Credit Union is seeking a Universal Banker Manager to lead Universal Banker I and II across assigned branches. You will coach staff, manage performance, coordinate staffing, and ensure consistent service and sales execution.

Reporting to the Area Service Manager, you will travel between branches, develop talent, support onboarding, and uphold branch operations, security, and regulatory standards while driving member outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 3-5 years in retail banking or credit union environment.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Demonstrated ability to develop employees, coach sales and service behaviors.
• Working knowledge of deposit products, lending, branch operations, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel regularly between assigned branch locations.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Universal Banker I and II employees within an assigned branch cluster.
• Establish clear performance expectations and maintain regular coaching and development discussions.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings, observations, performance reviews, and development planning sessions.
• Address performance concerns through coaching, counseling, and corrective action per Credit Union policies.
• Partner with the Area Service Manager to identify and develop high-potential employees and support succession planning efforts.
• Assist with onboarding, training, and integration of newly hired employees.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure employees understand organizational priorities, expectations, and performance standards.
• Coordinate staffing and daily schedules across branches; approve attendance and time-off.
• Support recruiting, interviewing, and candidate-selection processes; deploy employees across locations.
• Travel between branch locations to provide leadership support.
• Promote consistent service standards; coach on member engagement and relationship-building.
• Coach on service recovery, issue resolution, and feedback monitoring.
• Use performance data to identify coaching opportunities and development needs.
• Lead by example through productivity and engagement with members.
• Maintain branch operating procedures, regulatory compliance, and risk controls.
