Job summary

Georgia’s Own Credit Union is seeking a Universal Banker Manager to lead Universal Banker I and II across an assigned branch cluster. You will coach, develop, and performance-manage staff, while ensuring staffing coverage and excellent member experiences across multiple locations.

You will partner with the Area Service Manager, onboard new hires, and drive accountability and service excellence through coaching and leader-by-example. Travel between branches will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3–5 years in retail banking or credit union environment.
• 2+ years supervisory or employee coaching experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of deposit products, lending, branch operations, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to travel regularly between assigned branch locations.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Universal Banker I and II employees within an assigned branch cluster.
• Establish clear performance expectations and maintain coaching discussions.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, development planning, and recognition activities.
• Address performance concerns through coaching, counseling, and corrective action per policy.
• Partner with Area Service Manager to identify high-potential employees and support succession planning.
• Support onboarding, training, and integration of new hires.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure employees understand priorities, expectations, and performance standards.
• Coordinate employee schedules and staffing across branches.
• Approve attendance, time-off requests, and schedule adjustments.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and candidate selection.
• Coordinate deployment between branches to address staffing needs.
• Travel regularly among branches to provide leadership support.
• Promote consistent delivery of service standards across branches.
• Coach employees on member engagement, referrals, and relationship-building.
• Monitor member feedback and coaching opportunities to improve service.
