Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah, is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI exams on a 7 on, 7 off graveyard shift (8pm–6am). A sign-on bonus up to $7,500 and relocation assistance may be available.

Responsibilities include high-quality imaging, patient care, safety, and collaboration with radiologists. ARRT MR or ARMRIT cross-training, BLS, and IV competency are required, with preferred MRI experience.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT credential or cross-training in MRI.
• BLS for healthcare providers completed.
• IV access competency within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT/MR or modality competency for clinical/technical duties.
• Verify patient identity, prepare patients for exams and verify orders.
• Perform MRI exams per protocol; review images for quality and accuracy.
• Follow MRI safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Complete studies within time guidelines while preserving care quality.
• Instruct students/colleagues in protocols, positioning, and equipment.
• Educate patients, ensure comfort, and address concerns.
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operate equipment and information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keep accurate records of patient data and procedures.
• Follow coding, charging, consents, QC, and reporting protocols.
