Job summary

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification or cross-trained in MRI
• BLS certification for healthcare providers
• IV competency within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT/ARRT competency in MRI functions
• Identify patient, verify orders, and prepare for exam
• Perform MRI exams per protocol and review image quality
• Adhere to MRI safety guidelines and maintain safety
• Complete studies within acceptable time limits
• Instruct students and other MRI techs on protocols and positioning
• Provide patient education and comfort
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques
• Operate MRI equipment and information systems
• Keep accurate records of patient information and procedures
• Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and equipment failures
