Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT seeks an MRI Technologist for a 7 on/7 off graveyard role (8pm–6am). You will perform diagnostic MRI exams, ensure image quality, and work with radiologists to deliver exceptional care.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT MR or ARMRIT, BLS, and IV competency within 30 days. 1–2 years MRI experience and a Bachelor’s degree are preferred. Sign-on bonus up to $7,500 with relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification and BLS required.
• IV competency within 30 days of hire.
• Level II requires MR/ARMRIT and documented case proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT/ARMRIT competency in MRI procedures.
• Verifies patient identity and prepares for exams.
• Performs MRI exams and reviews images for quality.
• Adheres to MRI safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time frames without compromising care.
• Assists and instructs students and MRI staff in protocols and positioning.
• Provides patient education and addresses concerns.
• Follows infection control and sterile technique.
• Operates imaging equipment and related information systems.
• Keeps accurate records of procedures and patient data.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, and QC.
